What is the New Wine Discipleship Year?
The NWDY is a gap-year programme for anyone ages 18-24 to spend a year growing as a follower and disciple of Jesus, to exercise and grow in your giftings, to learn how to serve Jesus and His Kingdom with all of your life and to get some practical experience serving in a local church.
How does it work?
There are several elements to the NWDY:
-
Teaching days
-

-
Two Weekend Away trips
-

-
Team place at New Wine United (Summer Conference)
-

Teaching Days
The Discipleship Year runs from September to June. Each week you will receive 8 hours of teaching at the regional hub (St. Phillips Chapel Street) at term time. At the hub there will an exciting mixture of teaching taught around topics of theology, mission and what it looks like to put it these practice. There will be a variety of speakers, both local and guest speakers, from a diverse mix of backgrounds and contexts.

We are able to offer up to full-time placement (including the teaching days). You may also wish to get a part-time job to put-into-practice the teaching and experience you gain from the rest of the week as you live out your faith in the world.

There will also be an optional self-funded overseas mission trip either in the UK or abroad.
