We'll all be aware of the cost of living crisis having a big impact on finances for all resulting in a potential challenging winter ahead for many, particularly the poorest.

St Werburgh’s church want to try to help families and individuals in our community, who may be struggling, in a practical way.

Therefore, we’re launching the 'Winter Coat Project'. This is an initiative partnering with the organisation ROC (Redeeming Our Communities) in response to stark national research showing an estimated 4 million children and adults don't have an adequate coat. This project is very simple:

This project is very simple:

We're seeking to provide pre-loved winter weather clothing to children and adults in our community who are in need.

Through referrals from other agencies doing amazing things around Chorlton, we're aiming to provide 500 coats to individuals this winter.

To do this we need to engage as a whole community by both collecting and distributing coats that otherwise would be left unused in wardrobes and attics.

There will be free coats, hats, scarves and gloves for anyone that needs them this winter.

All are welcome - there will be a mix of coats for all ages.
